Underdog's procedure (UND)

This Procedure is resolved during Start of the Round Sequence (SOR) Phase SOR:20.

Determine the Underdog

The player who currently has fewer💎Soulshards is designated as the Underdog.

If both players have the same amount, no one is the Underdog - go straight to Step UND.40.

Step UND.20 → Determine the Difference

Calculate the number of 💎Soulshards by which the Underdog player is trailing the leading player.

Step UND.30 → Apply the Boon

Based on the calculated difference, the Underdog player receives one of the following benefits:

• Difference of 1💎Soulshards: The Underdog automatically wins this Round's Initiative Bid Procedure (BID).

• Difference of 2💎Soulshards: The Underdog may (but is not required to) nominate one Objective Area. At the end of this Round, any player controlling the nominated area scores +1 additional💎Soulshards.

• Difference of 3 or more💎Soulshards: The player may (but is not required to) nominate one Objective Area. At the end of this Round, the control of the nominated area is worth -1💎Soulshards (reducing its value).

Step UND.40 → Completion

Once the boon has been applied, this Procedure is complete.
