In GODSGLOOM, the "Rule of Cool" is not merely permission for aesthetic freedom; it is a fundamental act of respect towards your opponent. We explicitly embrace a miniature-agnostic philosophy that invites you to raid your "Shelf of Shame" and unleash your unique vision of war - whether that means historical Romans standing in for Legionnaires or clockwork horrors representing the Unliving.

However, this creative liberty carries a duty: bringing a beautifully converted, thematic army is a matter of honor, designed to enhance the game not just for yourself, but for the person standing across the table. While the Gods do not care whose logo is on the sprue, they demand clarity alongside audacity; if your opponent can instantly recognize a unit’s role through your storytelling and is awed by the effort you put into your "vision of war," you have truly mastered the Rule of Cool.

Accessing Unit Profiles

While the GODSGLOOM APP serves as your library for raw statistics and point costs, true generalship requires more than just optimizing math. The Unit Profile gives you the tools, but the Archetypes below define how you use them to secure victory.

Do not choose an army based solely on its stats; choose the one that mirrors your own strategic mindset. Whether you seek to drown the enemy in bodies or break them with a single elite charge, the following descriptions capture the tactical soul of each faction - the unique "feeling" of command that numbers alone cannot convey.
