Line Of Sight Procedure (LOS)
This Procedure is used to determine if there is Line of site:
Step LOS.10 → Select Origin Corner:
Choose any single corner from the three sides of your Unit's hex that form its Front Arc. This is your Origin Corner.
Step LOS.20 → Find Target Corners:
Identify all six corners of the Target's hex.
Step LOS.30 → Draw a Path:
Attempt to draw straight lines from your chosen Origin Corner to the corners of the Target hex.
Step LOS.40 → Check for Two Clear Paths:
You have LoS if you can trace lines from a single Origin Corner to at least two of the Target's corners without obstruction.
Obstruction: If any part of the line crosses a Blocking Hex, that line is blocked and provides no visibility.
No LoS: If you cannot find a path to two corners that does not cross a Blocking Hex, you do not have LoS.
Key Clarifications
Large & Elevated Exceptions: The conditions for an "unblocked" line change if the Unit checking for LoS (the observer) has the 📜Large Traits or is on a hex with the Elevated Terrain Keyword.
In either of these cases, intervening hexes are considered Blocking only if they contain either another Unit that also has the 📜Large Traits or a terrain feature with the Obstructing keyword.
All other intervening Units (that are not 📜Large) are ignored and do not Block LoS for this check.
Target's Own Hex: The hex occupied by the Target Unit itself never Blocks to draw LoS to the Target.
Hexes adjacent to Blocking hex: Even if a Line of sight(LoS) passes along the edge of a Blocking hex, it is not considered Blocked, as long as it does not pass through the hex's interior.
Two Units, One Edge: A Line of Sight is blocked if it passes along a shared edge between two adjacent Blocked hexes.
