§5. Range and Line of Sight

Abilities, attacks, and spells often require determining Range and Line of Sight(LoS). Two specific hex symbols are used to interpret these rules:

  • ⬢ (Solid Hex): This symbol indicates that the action or ability REQUIRES Line of Sight(LoS) to the target.

  • ⬡ (Hollow Hex): This symbol indicates that the action or ability DOES NOT REQUIRE Line of Sight(LoS) to the target.

§5.1. Range

Numerical Values: Range is always measured in Hexes.

  • Range 0: A minimum range of 0 indicates that the unit can target its own Hex. A unit always has Line of Sight(LoS) to itself (to its own Hex), even if other rules would temporarily remove its Line of Sight(LoS)to other targets.

  • Number Range (e.g., 2-4): This indicates both a minimum and a maximum range. An ability with a range of 2-4 can only target hexes that are at least 2 Hexes away and no more than 4Hexes away.

§5.2. Line of Sight

In this game, Line of Sight(LoS) is always determined using Line Of Sight Procedure (LOS)

Reminder: If an ability's range is marked with the ⬡ symbol, the rules in this §5.2. section do not apply to that ability.
