§7.1. Start of the Round Sequence (SOR)

Phase SOR:10 → Opening Effects

Resolve any effects that trigger at the very start of the round, before any other preparations.

Phase SOR:20 → Determine the Underdog

The player who currently has fewer 💎Soulshards is designated as the Underdog. If both players have the same amount, no one is the Underdog.

Phase SOR:30 → The Underdog's Boon

If a player was designated as the Underdog in the previous Phase SOR.20 follow procedure Underdog's Boon procedure (UND) .

Phase SOR:40 → Determine Initiative

Players must follow the Initiative bid procedure (BID). But if there is an Underdog - he automatically wins this bid. The winner of the bid decides which player will be Player A and which will be Player B for the round.

IMPORTANT: This Phase SOR.40 is skipped in Phase GAME.10 → ROUND 1.

Phase SOR:50 → Closing Effects

Resolve any effects that trigger at the end of the §7.1. Start of the Round Sequence (SOR).
