§10.1.Gaining ⚜️Command Seals

Your pool of Command Seals is a dynamic resource that can change throughout the battle.

Pre-Battle Bonuses

  • Starting Command Seal Pool: During the pre-battle sequence (Phase 2.4), each player calculates their starting pool. Your starting pool is equal to a value of [X] from all friendly units (such as your Avatar or Heroes) with the 📜Command Capacity [X] trait.

  • Army Efficiency Bonus: If your army's total point value is lower than your opponent's, you receive one additional 1⚜️Command Seal at the During the pre-battle sequence (Phase 2.4). If both armies have the same point value, no bonus is awarded.

Gaining Seals During the Game

  • Generating Seals with Abilities: Some units possess special ⭐Abilities that can generate Command Seals during the Abilities Phase.

    • Example: A unit with the 🎯Inspire Authority [2] ability may use it to add 2 ⚜️Command Seals to its controller's pool.

  • Sacrifice for Command: At any point during your turn, as the active player, you may choose to discard your face-down active Divine Ambition for the round. If you do, you immediately gain 1 ⚜️Command Seal. You cannot use this ability if you have already completed and scored your ambition for the round.

  • ⏩Momentum Consolation: If your opponent's actions cause the ⏩Momentum Track slider to reach the 3rd space on their side, you immediately gain +1⚜️Command Seal as a consolation prize before the track is reset.


§10.2.Spending ⚜️Command Seals

⚜️Command Seals(CS) can be spent at various points during the game to activate powerful abilities and tactical maneuvers. These actions are available to players:

  • Reroll Dice Pool: You may spend 1⚜️CS to reroll all eligible dice from a single test roll. Dice that have already been rerolled for any reason, or dice with fixed results, cannot be rerolled again, and must be excluded from this reroll.

  • Counter-maneuver [Per Round / per Army] - (Reactive): Immediately after an enemy unit finishes its Move action, you may use this ability by spending 1 ⚜️Command Seal. Choose one of your friendly units that is not currently ⛓️Engaged. That unit may immediately displace 1⬢hex, provided this move ends with it becoming ⛓️Engaged with the active enemy unit. This counts as your one reactive action for the current enemy activation.

  • Trait-Activated Command Actions: These actions require a unit to have a specific Trait and also cost ⚜️CS to activate. You cannot use several reactive traits for one unit during the same enemy unit activation.

    • Tactical Awareness [Per Round]: When this unit is attacked from its Rear Arc and is not ⛓️Engaged, you may spend 1⚜️Command Seal in Melee Attack Action Step 8 to pivot this unit to facing the attacker hex.

  • Rally Unit: You may spend 1⚜️CS to restore 1⚪️Morale token to a friendly unit. This cannot raise the unit's ⚪️Morale tokens above its M characteristic value. This action can only be used if the unit is within 2⬡ range of a Avatar or Hero.
