Initiative bid procedure (BID)
All Initiative Bids are resolved in Deployment Procedure (DPL) Step DPL:30 and Start of the Round Sequence (SOR) Phase SOR:30.
Step BID.10 → Check for Underdog
First, determine if one player is the Underdog.
If YES: The Underdog player automatically wins the Initiative Bid. Proceed directly to Step BID.60.
If NO: If there is no Underdog, continue the Procedure from Step BID.20.
Step BID.20→ Secret Bids
Both players secretly allocate 0-3 of their ⚜️Command Seals, taking a corresponding number of Dice into their closed fist.
Step BID.30→ Reveal Bids
Both players reveal their bids simultaneously.
Step BID.40→ Winner Determined
The player with the higher bid wins.
Step BID.50→ Price of Victory
The Winner pays a number of ⚜️Command Seals equal to the Loser's bid. The Loser pays nothing.
If the bids are tied: The players have a roll-off (each rolls 3d6, highest number of Successes (3+) wins; Reroll ties). The Winner of the roll-off pays the Loser's bid amount of ⚜️Command Seals.
Step BID.60→ Player Designation
The Winner of the Initiative Bid now decides which player will be Player A and which will be Player B for this Round.
