Move Action Procedure (MOV)
This Procedure is followed when the Active Unit chooses to perform a Move Action in Unit Activation Procedure (UAP) Step UAP.30.
Step MOV.10 → Start of Action
Resolve any rules that trigger "at the start of a Move Action." The Active Unit gains a number of Movement Points equal to its Speed(S) Characteristic.
Step MOV.20 → Initial Pivot
Before spending any MP, the Unit may Pivot on its hex to any Facing. This Pivot is free.
Step MOV.30 → Perform Standard Move
The Unit may now perform its Standard Move following all Movement Mechanics. It moves from its current hex into an adjacent hex, spending the appropriate amount of Movement Points for each hex it enters.
This move can be in any direction, regardless of the Unit's current Facing or Front Arc.
The player does not have to use all of the Unit's available Movement Points.
Note: This movement is subject to all rules governing a Movement Mechanics, including being affected by Difficult terrain and stopped by Enemy ⌓Engagement Zones.
Step MOV.40 → Final Pivot
After the Unit has finished moving (i.e., spent all desired MP) or was stopped in the middle of moving by any means, it may Pivot again on its current hex to any final Facing. This Pivot is also free.
Step MOV.50 → End of Action
Resolve rules that trigger "at the end of a Move Action." The Move Action is now complete.
