The Unit Activation Procedure (UAP)

This procedure is followed for each activation a player performs during the Alternating Activations step (ACT.20).

1

Step UAP.10 → Nominate Unit

The Active Player chooses one of their unactivated units to perform an Activation.

2

Step UAP.20 → Start of Activation

Before the Active Unit performs any actions, resolve any abilities and rules that trigger "at the start of activation."

3

Step UAP.30 → Perform Actions

The Active Unit may perform up to two actions in the following order:

  1. Move Action: The unit may perform a Move Action by following the Move Action Procedure (MOV). Alternatively, the player may forfeit this action.

  2. Standard Action: After the Move Action is completed (or forfeited), the unit may perform one Standard Action. Choose an action from the list below and follow its corresponding procedure. A player may choose to forfeit performing a Standard Action.

    Available Standard Actions include:

    • Melee Attack Action: See The Melee Attack Action Procedure (MEL).

    • Focus Action: The unit gains a 🟡Boost token.

    • Rally Action: Restore the unit's ⚪️Morale tokens to its starting M characteristic value.

    • Skill Action: The unit may perform a Skill Action. To do so, choose one of the ⭐Skills listed on the unit's profile and follow the Skill Resolution Procedure (SRP).

4

Step UAP.40 → End of Activation

After the unit has completed all of its actions (or has chosen to perform none), resolve any abilities and rules that trigger "at the end of activation." Mark this unit as having been activated. Its activation is now complete.
