Skill Resolution Procedure (SRP)

This procedure is followed when the Active Unit chooses to perform a Skill Action.

1

Step SRP.10 → Declaration

The player declares which specific ⭐Skill from the Active Unit's profile they are using. If the skill requires a target (a unit or a hex), the target must be nominated now.

2

Step SRP.20 → Check Conditions

Verify that the skill can be used.

  • Are all conditions listed in the skill's description met?

  • Is the target within legal range and Line of Sight (if applicable)?

If any condition is not met, the skill cannot be used. The player may return to Step SRP.10 and declare a different skill (if the unit has one) or forfeit the Skill Action.

3

Step SRP.40 → Resolve Effect

Follow the instructions written in the skill's description. Effects are resolved in the following way:

  • If the skill is an attack (e.g., a special ⭐Skill that allows a 🎯Ranged Attack), resolve it by following the appropriate procedure (e.g., Ranged Attack Procedure - RNG).

  • If the skill instructs another unit to perform an action (e.g., ⭐Direct Order grants a Move Action), that unit immediately performs the granted action, following its corresponding procedure (e.g., MOV).

  • For all other effects, apply the result as described: place tokens, move a unit, etc.

4

Step SRP.50 → Completion

The skill's effect is now fully resolved. The unit's Skill Action is complete, and its activation continues as described in the Unit Activation Procedure (UAP).
