§18.6. Magic 📜Traits

📜Adept Dispeller - (Triggered) When this unit attempts to Dispel an enemy spell, it gains a +1🟩Dispel Die modifier to its dice pool. Modifier is triggered only if caster is attempting to dispel spell and already has some 🟩Dispel Die for this attempt.

💎Arcane Capacitor - (End of Phase) If this unit is on the battlefield at the end of the Magic Phase, you may keep up to X unused 🟪Mana Dice in your pool for the next Round.

📜Arcane Precision - (Triggered) [Per Round] Once per round, after this Caster rolls 🟪Magic Dice in Step CAST.40, you may choose one die in that pool and treat it as having rolled ✨Mana, regardless of its face.

📜Arcane Reach - (Passive) Add +2⬢ Hexes to the Range of all 🌀Spells cast by this unit.

📜Battle Caster - (Passive) This unit ignores the [Unengaged Only] restriction on its 📜Mana and 📜Dispel Aura traits.

📜Dispel Aura [X] - (Reactive) X radius, in hexes, within which this unit may attempt to dispel an enemy spell.

📜Innate Counterspell [Per Round] - (Active) Once per round, this unit may attempt to Dispel an enemy spell without spending a ⚜️Command Seal (uses 🟩Dispel Die). It can add more 🟩Dispel Dice by spending additional ⚜️Command Seals if desired.

📜Magic Resistance (X) - (Passive) When this unit is targeted by an enemy 🌀Spell or is within its Area of Effect, the caster must generate X additional ✨successes for the spell to be successfully cast. Stacking: If multiple friendly units with the 📜Magic Resistance (X) Trait are fully or partially within the 🌀Spell’s Area of Effect, the total additional ✨successes required by the caster is the sum of the Magic Resistance (X) values of all affected friendly units.

📜Mana [X] [Unengaged Only] - (Triggered) At the start of each Magic Phase, if this unit is 🔓Unengaged, it gains X 🟪Mana Dice to use for casting spells.

📜Mana Negate [X] - (Passive) Enemy Casters within X⬡ of this unit generate -1 🟪Magic Die from their 📜Mana Pool [X] trait at the start of the Magic Phase (MAG.10), to a minimum of 0.

📜Natural Dispel - (Triggered) If this unit is affected by an enemy 🌀Spell (as a Target or via Area of Effect), add 1 🟩Dispel Die to the Dispel pool. This die is generated and rolled even if no Command Seal is spent to initiate the Dispel. Stacking : If multiple friendly units with the 📜Natural Dispel (X) Trait are fully or partially within the 🌀Spell’s Area of Effect, the total additional 🟩Dispel Die added is the sum of the 📜Natural Dispel values of all affected friendly units.

📜Null Field [X⬢] - (Passive) Friendly units within X⬢ gain Magic Resistance (1). Enemy Casters within X⬢ roll -1🟪 when casting.

📜Overwhelming Magic - (Passive) When enemy units attempt to Dispel 🌀Spells cast by this unit using the Dispel Spell Procedure (DSP), they roll -1 🟩Dispel Die in Step DSP.30, to a minimum of 0.

📜Spell Relay - (Active) When a Caster with this trait casts a 🌀Spell, it may choose another friendly Caster on the battlefield to be the origin point for the spell. Range and Line of Sight are measured from the chosen friendly Caster.

📜Spell Weaver - (Passive) This unit ignores the [Once per Round] restriction on all its 🌀Spells.

🌀Unique Spell [Per Game] - (Active) A unique spell on a specific Caster's profile. If a Caster casts its Unique Spell, it cannot cast any other spells during that Magic Phase.

📜Volatile Surge - (Passive) This unit may use Overcast on any number of 🌀Spells during its activation. However, for each subsequent Overcast after the first one in the same Phase, the Caster immediately suffers 1 🩸Wound (cannot be prevented) after resolving the spell.
