§18.4. Miscellaneous 📜Traits
📜Area Effect (X) [Effect] - (Passive) This unit projects a continuous aura extending X hexes from its base in all directions. Rules: - Continuous State: Effect is constant; gained immediately on entry, lost on exit. - Source Unit: The unit projecting the aura is NOT affected by its own aura, unless explicitly stated (e.g., "including itself"). - Line of Sight: Ignores LoS; passes through units, obstacles, and terrain unless specified otherwise. - Stacking: A unit cannot benefit/suffer from multiple instances of the exact same named Area Effect simultaneously.
📜Avatar Vessel - (Passive) If your Avatar is destroyed, you may nominate a unit with this trait to become the new Avatar. If you do, you do not suffer the standard penalty of discarding Gambits and losing Divine aura.
📜Circular Defense - (Passive) This unit's ⌓Engagement Zone includes all adjacent hexes. It can attack enemy units in any direction without pivoting. Attackers never gain Flanking bonuses against this unit; all attacks are treated as originating from its Front Arc.
📜Death Curse - (Triggered) When this unit is destroyed by an enemy Attack Test, the attacking unit immediately suffers 1🩸Wound and gains a 🟣Weak token.
📜Deploy as Marker - (Triggered) May be deployed as a 'Hidden' marker instead of a model. - Marker Rules: The hex is Impassable and Obstructing; marker cannot be targeted/affected. - Reveal: At the start of any round (Step 1.6), replace marker with unit model, choosing any legal Facing.
📜Divine Trait - (Passive) This trait represents the Avatar's divine power, chosen before the battle as described in §15.2 The Divine Trait System.
📜Dominating Presence - (Passive) When counting units to determine control of an Objective Area, this unit counts as two units.
📜Double Action - (Passive) When this unit performs Step UAP.30 → Perform Actions, it may perform two Standard Actions instead of the usual one. Limitation: Cannot perform the Melee Attack Action more than once during this activation.
📜Fearless - (Passive) This unit is immune to all sources of ⚪️Morale token loss, with a single exception: it still suffers -1⚪️Morale token for losing a combat.
📜Forward Deploy - (Passive) During the deployment phase, after this unit has been placed, it may immediately use one of its ⭐Abilities that has the [Deployable traps] tag.
📜Inspire Authority [X] - (Active) A unit may use this ability to generate X ⚜️Command Seals in 5.3 End of the round phase.
📜Martyr - (Triggered) When this unit is destroyed, all friendly units within 2⬢ immediately recover 1⚪️Morale token and gain a 🟡Boost token.
📜Negate [Trait] - (Passive) When this unit participates in a Melee Attack Action, the opposing unit cannot use or benefit from the specified [Trait] for the duration of that action.
📜Pain-Fueled Fury - (Triggered) Each time this unit suffers one or more 🩸Wounds, it immediately gains a 🟡Boost token. Note: If this unit has/gains a 🟣Weak token, the generated Boost token immediately cancels it out.
📜Recon Gambits - (Active) Once per game, as an Action, this unit may look at one of your opponent's face-down Divine Ambition cards for the current round.
📜Regeneration (X) - (Triggered) During the 5.3 End‑of‑round phase, this unit recovers X lost Health.
📜Reliable (X) - (Active) Once per Test, before rolling, choose up to X dice to set aside. They are immediately converted into Auto-Successes (⚔️ or 🛡️). These are final and cannot be modified or rerolled.
